Resident Services & Programs
Building healthy, supportive environments that enhance senior wellness, educate families, and relieve distress.
More Than Just a Place to Live
At the Searles Group, we believe that affordable housing should be a stepping stone to a better quality of life. That is why we commit resources to a holistic approach to resident wellness, continuous service coordination, and active lifestyle promotion.
By funding independent non-profit services, we bring direct care, educational programs, social interaction, and essential support resources right to our residents' front doors.
Core Program Focus Areas
- ✓ Active Senior Wellness Customized light physical exercises, cognitive activities, and memory care services promoting high-quality independent senior living.
- ✓ Community Integration & Transport Round-trip transportation for residents to medical appointments, community centers, grocery stores, and specialized outings.
- ✓ Mutual Aid & Volunteering Fostering environments like sweet resident-run sundries shops and volunteer groups that give residents active roles in their neighborhood.

Community Success Spotlight
Sweetwater Terrace Sundries Shop
In 2014, Independent Director Patricia Gadson spearheaded the opening of a sundries shop at the Sweetwater Terrace senior community.
Patricia continues to manage this lovely local shop, providing vital conveniences while creating meaningful volunteer work for two resident volunteers. It's a prime example of resident empowerment in action.
"Seeing communities thrive is our greatest reward."
